Fire Pits & BBQ rules / Fire hazards
NO OPEN FIRES – there’s a lot of excellent, very precious lives and motor vehicles on site!
Fire pits & BBQs are allowed but MUST be kept off the ground. Don’t leave them unattended. Please make sure you have enough water, a powder fire extinguisher or some other means of putting out flames in case something goes wrong! Ideally, please wet the ground around your BBQ in case sparks fly.
Disposing of used coals & portable BBQs – please use metal bins provided, NOT regular waste bins. Don’t dispose of any portable BBQ until you are sure it is cold & dead!
Please don’t litter – drinks cans and glass bottles left on the ground can ignite dry grass. If you smoke, please dispose of your cigarette ends with care – use the metal bins provided.
Generators
We really would prefer you not to use an independent generator in the camping area. If you must then it will need to be diesel (our H&S people are likely to be checking) and run only during the daytime - so long as you're not annoying anyone. Please be considerate of other campers.
Dogs
Yes, dogs are 100% welcome at DVF but please keep them on a lead in the show area.
Don't leave dogs unattended in cars, and don't forget the poo bags! We will provide dog drinking water in bowls at various places around the site.
If you see a dog, or any animal, suffering in a hot car please call the Police on 101 (or 999) and/or advise a member of the DVF Security team.
Car Parking
There is plenty of car parking at DVF for day visitors and any campers with extra vehicles, included in the price of your tickets. Parking is on grass, on a large field in front of the main event field (look out for the signposts as you come up the lane).
Glass & Alcohol
Strictly no glass in the show area. Your own alcohol is permitted in the show area, but in reasonable quantities (e.g. no crates). The DVF bar will be serving lager, wine, spirits, local beers & ciders at reasonable prices - please consider purchasing a re-usable DVF-branded eco-cup, available at the bar. A good range of other hot & cold refreshments are available in the food village.
