FAQs
Important Wildfire Alert
Further high temperatures and dry conditions are forecast for the week leading up to DVF and over the weekend 10-12 July.
We have been informed by the local council and fire service that NO Fire Pits, NO naked flames and NO BBQs of any kind, including off the ground gas naked flame cookers, are to be used anywhere on site this year. If the rules are not abided by then the show cannot go ahead. There have already been heath fires in the area and we all need to be really careful!
We also ask that those that smoke take extra care when extinguishing and disposing of their cigarettes.
Those with camping / cooking set ups inside their vehicles are unaffected.
Thank you.
Strictly No Glass - new rule 2026
No glass of any kind permitted anywhere on site, including on camping pitches.
For the safety of all at the event, and in consideration of the site being a working farm and glass poses a risk to grazing animals.
Please decant your drinks and other liquids into re-usable plastic or other permitted bottles or containers before arrival.
Lost / mislaid ticket confirmation emails
Can't find your ticket confirmation email?
Look for a message from We Scan Tickets with the subject heading 'Dorset Volksfest 2026 Tickets for [your name]' - the message includes a link to your tickets to download and show at the gate for scanning.
Have your order confirmation re-sent
If you are still unable to find the confirmation email then simply email us at tickets@dorsetvolksfest.co.uk to request the ticket email be re-sent to you; we will just need the name and/or email address of the person that placed the order.
Personal Alcohol
Any alcohol you bring to DVF must be for personal use only. Personal alcohol is allowed in the main arena, but in reasonable quantities, and for personal use only (no crates!). All drinks brought on site must be decanted into plastic or other carriers - glass is now banned from the event.
Our bars help support the increasing costs of our show so please support us by using them. We offer lager, wine, spirits, local beers & ciders at very reasonable prices.
To save on waste, please consider purchasing a re-usable DVF-branded eco-cup, available at the bar.
