Fire Pits & BBQ rules / Fire hazards

Full details closer to the time of the event depending on weather conditions. But in general ...

BBQs should be kept off the ground and you must have enough water, a powder fire extinguisher or some other means of putting it out if something goes wrong! Ideally, please wet the ground around your BBQ in case sparks fly.

Disposing of used coals & portable BBQs - please use metal bins provided, NOT regular waste bins. Don’t dispose of any portable BBQ until you are sure it is cold & dead!

Please don't litter - drinks cans and glass bottles left on the ground can ignite dry grass. If you smoke, please dispose of your cigarette ends with care - use the metal bins provided.

Glass & Alcohol

Strictly no glass in the show area. Your own alcohol is permitted in the show area, but in reasonable quantities (e.g. no crates). The bar in the main marquee will be serving lager, wine, spirits, local beers & ciders at reasonable prices. There’s also a cocktail bar and other refreshments are available around the trading village.
