Terms & Conditions

By purchasing a ticket for Dorset Volksfest (DVF) you are deemed to have read, understood and agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions detailed below.

These T&Cs include the following references:

  • ‘Event’ which refers to any Dorset Volksfest (DVF) festival event
  • ‘The Organiser’ which is Dorset Volksfest Limited
  • ‘The Arena’ refers to the fenced show area including marquees, performances, catering village, trading village and show vehicles
  • ‘The venue’ and ‘the site’ refers to the farmer’s fields known as ‘The Showground’ at Worgret Road, Wareham BH20 6AB, and all festival infrastructure, goods and property on them.

1. GENERAL

a) It is your responsibility to check the details of your ticket(s); mistakes cannot always be rectified.

b) The right of admission to the Event is reserved by Dorset Volksfest (the Organiser) and venue owner, who may take health and safety, environmental and security concerns into account at their reasonable discretion, and may from time to time carry out security searches.

c) Artists and billed attractions may be subject to change.

d) No trading or promotional activities allowed within the venue without Dorset Volkfest’s prior consent.

e) Goods using unauthorised Event logos and/or unauthorised professional recording equipment must be surrendered to security staff.

f) Do not buy tickets or goods from unlawful street traders/touts. There is no guarantee of tickets’ validity for entry unless purchased direct from Dorset Volksfest or official ticket agents for the Event.

g) You give your express consent to your actual/simulated likeness to be included for no fee within any audio or visual recording to be used in any media for any purpose at any time. This includes filming by the police or security staff which may be carried out for the security of customers and/or the prevention of crime.

h) No unauthorised buses, coaches or trucks will be allowed on site.

2. BOOKING FEES

DVF uses the ‘We Scan Tickets’ online ticketing platform, which charges a booking fee of 75p per ticket plus a 3.5% transaction charge. These costs are clearly indicated on the ticket sales page at the point of purchase and are automatically added to the face value of the ticket(s) you purchase.

Booking fees typically cover the costs of providing the ticketing service, including card payment processing, staffing, etc.

3. REFUNDS

a) Tickets are non refundable.

b) Tickets are sold subject to the Organiser’s right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control (for example adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, or restrictions enforced by the government) without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.

c) Refunds are considered only on full cancellation, substantial alteration or by special exception determined by DVF at its sole discretion.

d) In the event of a refund being issued only the face value of the ticket(s) – excluding booking fees or any other surcharges – will be refunded using the same method used to purchase them.

For the purposes of these T&Cs ‘full cancellation’ is the cancellation of the Event in full (and not rescheduled). ‘Substantial alteration’ is a change (other than rescheduling) which, in DVF’s opinion, makes the Event substantially different to the Event that ticket holders could reasonably expect. ‘Special exception’ is an exception determined by DVF at its sole discretion.

3a. BOOKING REFUND PROTECTION

DVF tickets are purchased through the ‘We Scan Tickets’ ticketing platform; prior to completing your ticket purchase you will be offered the opportunity to purchase Booking Refund Protection with XCover.com which may cover a refund of your purchase price should you or anyone in the party be unable to attend due (for instance) to an injury or illness affecting you or a member of your immediate family.

Please note, the amount you pay for Booking Refund Protection goes to the insurance company; DVF has nothing to do with the administration of booking refund protection, and does not benefit from the premium in any way. Full details of the cover provided is available at www.xcover.com/en/pds/booking-refund-protection-uk.

Should you wish to make a claim you will need to contact XCover.com direct at www.xcover.com/en/claim.
